BACKGROUND: Osteonecrosis of the utter (ONJ) is a well-described complexness of bisphosphonates ingest in patients with binary myeloma (MM). We investigated whether the event of ONJ attenuated after the feat of clogging measures in 128 patients with MM who conventional zoledronic acid. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Patients with MM who conventional zoledronic Elvis were included in this analysis. Patients with a preceding ingest of another bisphosphonates were excluded; patients were foliate into assemble A (n = 38) and assemble B (n = 90) if communication was started before or after the feat of clogging measures. RESULTS: One cardinal and twenty-eight patients were included in this analysis. Sixteen patients (12.5%) matured ONJ-group A: 8 (26.3%), assemble B: 2 (6.7%) (P = 0.002). The frequency evaluate (IR) was 0.671/100 person-months for assemble A and 0.230/100 person-months for assemble B [IR ratio 2.92, P = 0.029, 95% certainty quantity 1.06-8.03].
