OBJECTIVE: The income of nicotine equal therapy (NRT) products were deregulated in Suomi in Feb 2006. Previously every medications were oversubscribed exclusive in pharmacies, and retail mark-ups and prices were fixed; mass freeing pricing of NRT products has been free. Further more, mart shops, petrol stations and kiosks are today licensed to delude NRT products. The neutral of this think is to appraise the effect of freeing on prices of NRT products. METHODS: We used toll accumulation on NRT products (n=2106) from pharmacies, mart shops, kiosks and petrol stations. Market prices are compared with past thermostated prices, as are the prices at assorted types of outlets. We examined the relation between rivalry and prices by abnormalcy analysis. RESULTS: The cipher toll of NRT products attenuated 15% after deregulation. About half of the toll modification was cod to waiver of NRT products from the medicine gift as conception of deregulation, and the another half to accumulated competition. The small pricey NRT products are obtainable in hypermarkets; however, pharmacies hit the maximal variety. CONCLUSIONS: Deregulation of NRT products in Suomi was flourishing in that the prices of these products hit attenuated and their availability increased.
