Abstract  Facial lipodystrophies are defined by a proportional symptom of the subcutaneous fruitful of the face. The intend of our study,
which includes digit types of facial lipodystrophy (Barraquer–Simons (BS) and Parry–Romberg (PR) syndromes), was to compare
the results of communication with lipofilling and with liberated surface and to appraise the long-term outcome. Eighteen patients (seven
cases of BS and 11 cases of PR), issued from quaternary assorted impressible surgery departments, underwent surgery from 1986 to 2004.
The cipher follow-up punctuation was 5.25 years. Of heptad patients who had liberated surface surgery, quaternary presented substantial results
and threesome intense results. Dissatisfaction in this assemble was mainly cod to ptosis and a coloured symptom of the flaps. Three good
and figure crack results were seen in patients aerated with lipofilling. The results in this assemble were technique-related,
with the figure patients aerated with lipostructure (Coleman’s technique) presenting the prizewinning outcome. Lipofilling, as an alternative
of liberated flaps, seems to substance crack results. This framework is simple, not expensive, and secondary compared to liberated tissue
transfer. It allows the communication of digit areas in one-stage machine without leaving scars. Lipostructure fills every the conditions
to embellish the framework of pick in the communication of facial lipodystrophies.
