Retrospective study of adenovirus in autopsied pulmonary tissue of pediatric fatal pneumonia in South China

September 25th, 2008 by admin

Background:
Adenovirus are the essential pathogen of medicine nonindulgent pneumonia. The intend of this think is to dissect the infection, subtype and organisation of adenovirus in autopsied pulmonic paper of mortal pneumonia in infants and children, and the relationships between adenovirus incident and respiratory sickness in South China.
Methods:
Nested PCR was performed on polymer extracted from autopsied lung paper from patients who died of nonindulgent pneumonia, and the constructive nested PCR products were cloned and sequenced. The adenovirus in autopsied pulmonic paper was also analyzed by immunohistochemistry assessment in a blindfold way.
Results:
In the 175 autopsied pulmonic tissues, the constructive proportionality of adenovirus was 9.14% (16/175) and 2.29% (4/175) perceived with nested PCR and immunohistochemistry, respectively. There are threesome cases of adenovirus serotype 3, dozen cases of adenovirus serotype 4 and digit housing of serotype 41 observed by sequencing of the cloned constructive nested PCR products.
Conclusions:
Adenovirus is an essential drive of nonindulgent pneumonia, and these accumulation declare that adenovirus serotype 4 strength be an essential pathogen answerable for the mortal pneumonia in Guangzhou, South China.
