Mitochondrial cholesterol makes response to chemotherapy difficult in hepatic cancer

(IDIBAPS - Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer) IIBB-CSIC-IDIBAPS researchers hit demonstrated that the process of cholesterin immersion in the mitochondrial membrane makes the state of chemotherapy arduous in cancellated hepatocarcinoma. According to these results, drugs much as statins could alter cancer cells against chemotherapy since they minify the take of mitochondrial cholesterol.
